The MSU Space Electronics Initiative is a collaborative hub advancing space electronics technology and preparing electronics talent for Michigan and beyond.
As a multidisciplinary industry-based research center led by the College of Engineering and Facility for Rare Isotope Beams at MSU, faculty, students and staff work alongside industry and government to design and test electronic devices, circuits, and systems that operate efficiently in the harsh conditions in space, from Low Earth Orbit and beyond.
The collaborative hub also serves as a primary talent development engine, preparing the space electronics and affiliated science and engineering workforce.
The Initiative relies on:
- Interdisciplinary research talent from MSU engineering and sciences
- The unparalleled Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) at MSU
- Knowledgeable experts from industrial member organizations
